I was getting ready for my second job of the day last Thursday when I saw that the skies were darkening and storm clouds were rolling in. I was so mad that I couldn’t be out in the middle of it. I wanted to feel the rush of wind on my face, and to let it give me rock star hair. To feel the electricity of the lightning raise goose bumps on my skin. To feel the rain on my cheeks and taste it on my lips. For me there is something so peaceful about a thunderstorm. The darkness, the lightning, the thunder, the rain, the hail, the fury. It just gets to me, heightens my senses, but also calms me. Maybe it’s because my mind is always moving, obsessing, second guessing, wondering. It’s exhausting sometimes…
