Christmas is the time to let your heart do the thinking.-Patricia Clafford
Special thanks to Rochelle for the prompt for November 30, 2012. This story makes me giddy. Not sure why, but I sure do like it. Hope that you do too. Have a good one my sweet readers and followers.
Love, Sparkly Girl
Cars pass by on the busy street. Christmas lights gleam in the waning of the day. Shoppers scurry around him. He waits to meet her. Till tonight it was texts and phantom voices over cell phones. They long for the safety of each other. The familiar. Yet they’re strangers with the passage of time. He looks down the sidewalk. Β Sees her striding toward him. Her hair haloed by the lights of the season. She sees him. Her smile broadens. Anxieties disappear as they embrace. She pulls back, looks up at him and says, “it was always supposed to be you.”
Awww…sweet Renee, just sweet.
Thanks my dear. Thanks.
HI Renee,
nice one.. this has the feel of the start of a chapter or story, certainly I think there is more fo this story to come.
I like how you have written this so that we can use our imagination as to the next part π
Hope you have a good day too Sparkly ( like the pics at the top of your blog :-))
love n hugs

Hey there my friend. Thanks for the kind words. How are you?????
I only get 100 words so I have to make them count. π Glad you liked it.
Have a great day yourself.
Mwah!
Ahhh, I didn’t understand the rules.. even better then that you’ve managed to get all this over is such a limited amount of words.. clever!
I’m ok thanks, I’ve got a chest infection and cough that I’ve had for a few weeks now, so I got prescribed anti biotics ( 3 lots now ) and a chest xray ( worrying- but that’s come back clear which is a relief) and an inhaler!!
First time in my life i’ve had one, WTF???
If this 3rd lot of A/b’s dont get rid of the infection I’m not really sure what the next step will be, super dupery strong a/b’s that make my hair fall out and want to take a shit all the time ?? :-)… better stock up on the bog paper and some plastic bags just in case , ha ha π¦
I’m on a voyage through the Rendevous to try and catch up from the last week coz you write so much, so I’ll no doubt be seeing you again soon π
Mwahh right back at ya babe

Oh my dear friend, get better soon. Please. Didn’t mean to write so much. Just felt a little passionate this week is all. Need to step back and write a book. Soon.
Hey Renee,
dont ever apologise for writing so much, it’s a part of you and what you do…plus you’re a really good read ( if you know what I mean) you always put a smile on my face. π
I’ll do my best renee honest, this is the worst illness I’ve had in a long time so I’ve been lucky really, pretty health apart from a being a bit overweight, but I have my reasons for that, and one day will return to the ( semi) slim, svelte figure I once had HA HA HA!!!
I agree about the book though, can’t wait for that π
You keep writing Renee, we’ll keep reading, thanks xxx
Thank you honey. Get better. I’ll keep writing. Promise. Glad you’re here. Stick around. Who knows what I have up my sleeve in the new year. π
If it’s anything like blue sapphires I dont think I’ll get to the end!
just to drag the tone down a bit, are you familiar with the term ” Wizards Sleeve” ?
xxx
I just looked it up on Urban Dictionary. I remember it from the movie Borat too. Nice and dirty, I gotta say. Giggle. Did you read part I of Blue Sapphires? There will be a part 3. Not sure when, but soon.
so the question becomes, are they sneaking around or did they recently leave or lose their partner before reconnecting? either way, it’s passionate. well done.
Those questions are valid. But if he’s standing on the street waiting for her, do you really think they’re sneaking around? The beauty of 100 words is the story really doesn’t end. It’s open to the reader’s interpretation. I’m glad you liked it. Thank you for your kind comments.
they could be meeting in a far away place, where they likely don’t know anyone. could be.
Could be. Could be.
or she’s cheating, not him, so he doesn’t have to worry. i mean, i’m just guessing. it’s not like i know about these things. π
Wink, wink.
A lovely piece here and this is my first time too, Enjoy!
Thank you so much. And welcome. I’ll be sure to follow you.
Yikes, Renee, what a last line. Fabulous.
Thanks Yaz. It was fun to write. β€
Nice ‘feel good’ ending. I enjoyed it.
Thanks so much. Glad you liked it.
Renee, I have a feeling if I keep reading your blog through this holiday season I might find some joy!
Oh honey that’s the sweetest thing you could say. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
π
Glad you liked it love.
Welcome!. Looks like it will be a good Christmas for them. No gift is as special as finding the right person. Deftly written.
Thank you so much. I appreciate your feedback.
Hi Renee,
You did a great job of capturing those magic moments of a new relationship. Ron
Or is it? I think they were lovers in a past life. Thanks for reading and your comment.
A romantic story for Christmas – I wonder what kept them apart and what brought them together, but whatever the rest of the story, this is a cute opening.
The beautiful thing about it being limited to 100 words is it’s open to interpretation. You can make up your own story. I can make up mine. I already know the story though. And I’ll never tell it. Giggle. Thanks for the comment and the follow. I’ll be sure to follow you.
A beautiful 100 – just beautiful!
Oh thank you my dear t. Thank you. It was kinda perfect. π
I could see them as having met on the internet, say Facebook. It felt like a first meeting but didn’t feel to me like either of them were cheating. Nicely done, Renee.
Thank you Rochelle for the kind comment. I loved the prompt for this week. This is so much fun. Can’t wait for the next one.
Careful…it’s an addiction
But a good one Rochelle. A good one.
Very nice. full of hope for a future together
Most certainly π
How sweet. Hope it works out for them.
Me too. Giggle.
Just loved the last line, it made a perfect finish.
Thank you so much. I thought it was kinda perfect too.
A great, happy tale of foreordained love. perfect for the prompt.
Aloha,
Doug
