No words are coming to me today. There’s sadness in my heart. It’s dark and rainy too. Just want to stay in bed on days like this. Headed to the funeral home later to say goodbye to a cousin that died suddenly a few days ago. I want to be happy that Meggie is getting married, but my heart breaks for my cousin’s family. They are in mourning while we are celebrating. It isn’t fair. But who said life was supposed to be?
Love of mine, some day you will die
But I’ll be close behind
I’ll follow you into the dark
No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white
Just our hands clasped so tight
Waiting for the hint of a spark
If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied Illuminate the no’s on their vacancy signs
If there’s no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I’ll follow you into the dark
In Catholic school as vicious as Roman rule
I got my knuckles bruised by a lady in black
And I held my tongue as she told me “Son fear is the heart of love”
So I never went back
If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the no’s on their vacancy signs
If there’s no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I’ll follow you into the dark
You and me have seen everything to see
From Bangkok to Calgary
And the soles of your shoes
Are all worn down
The time for sleep is now
It’s nothing to cry about
‘Cause we’ll hold each other soon
In the blackest of rooms
If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the no’s on their vacancy signs
If there’s no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I’ll follow you into the dark
Then I’ll follow you into the dark
I’m so sorry for your family’s loss, my heart is with you.
Thanks hon.

I will be okay. This weather doesn’t help though. Love you too. You cutie patootie.Mwah!
i guess this is the time no matter what beliefs you have you cling to the belief and faith that your love one has gone on to wait for you in a better place free of pain and the misery of this world until you meet again, and I am sure on Meggie’s special day your cousin will stand side by side of all the other family who have passed and watch her with as much pride as you have for her xxx
I believe that is very true Paula. I know that he will be there with us. We’ll be sure to say a prayer and scatter some flowers into the ocean for him too. I told Meg today that I’m just miserable right now. She understood completely. We know that when her special day comes, there will be so much joy. Warm sun, and sand beneath our feet. As we hear the roar of the ocean and she and Chris pledge to love each other forever. It’ll be a beautiful day. Thanks for your sweet words honey.
Sorry about your cousin! beautiful words.
Thank hon.
Take care Renee — my thoughts are with you and your family.
Thanks my dear.

You’re most welcome x
Hope the wedding is wonderfully cheery and there’s plenty of good hootch for ya!
Me too my dear Matt. I’m sure it will be wonderful. š
Remember your cousin as she was; not as she is and love the time you had more than trying to cling to what could have been. Her passing is sad, but you have a new beginning facing you as well. Such is the circle of life. Live well, love long and deeply and cherish your time together while you can. Here’s wishing you and those you hold dear the very best life has to offer.
She was actually a he. š He was such a sweet and funny man. He was such a redneck, but had the gentlest heart. I’ll miss him every day. My heart breaks for his wife and his two boys. He was only 59. That’s too damn young. Thanks for your kind words my friend.
What a beautiful song. Thank you honey.
