Five Sentence Fiction-The Pianist’s Fire

Talent is only the flame, genius is the fire.-John Reyes

Michael pounded the piano keys so furiously, his fingers bled. The flame within him burned and as he played, it radiated throughout his entire body. He wrote the music notes down and  fingered the keys one-handed. To anyone else the scribbled composition would have been gibberish, but not so for him.  It was the language of his heart, passion, and his muse.

    • Hi Lizzie,

Thanks so much for your kind comment. I sure do appreciate them. This is the first time I’ve participated in Five Sentence Fiction. It’s super fun.

About the Marilyn photos, I kind of worship her. I’ve written stories about her and to her. I’ve even written one where she and I swim, talk and drink champagne. It’s called A Night Swim with Marilyn.

I do believe she and I are kindred spirits, and that her heart beats in my chest…. I’m glad you’re here.

    • Yaz honey, you’ve no idea how much your comment means to me. I don’t know where it comes from. I hope it never goes away. I’m glad you’re here. You hold me up and make me want to try harder. Thank you.
